Continuing our conversation about Hip Hop, or lack there of that is accesable; this is worth getting into. For some reason I didn’t fully get into this when I bought it about a year and a half ago but I’m loving it at the moment.

Duly noted. Shall investigate.
Noted. Is it on Spotify?Sell it to me Brother Nolan 🙂
PS – De La Soul – Bulhoone Mind State, is this an album that you guys know? I’ve always really rated this album. I listened to it today, start to finish, in the car (2nd only to headphones in my world), turned up loud and loved it all over again. I think its well smart.
Spotify… yes, as well as a few other bits by him. Basically he’s one of the best things that have come out of the west in a while. If you’re a fan of De La, Dilated Peoples etc, this should be up your street. Give the album a few listens as it’s a grower for sure.
Yurp. Im actually listening to it as we type.
Nolan, only on my first listen and I’m already thinking this is going to be a must buy. Haven’t heard hip hop this accessible and vital for a long time. Great samples, great vibe.NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE!
I’ve not connected with this yet. I like it but I don’t think I get enough chance to listen to it as I’ve only got it on Spotify. Most of my listening is in the car … maybe Spotify Premium is a must? Do any of you guys have it? The offline mode on your phone is pretty cool?
This doesn’t fit the ‘nice hip hop’ title but …http://pitchfork.com/reviews/tracks/13299-the-full-retard/Yes it’s called ‘Full Retard’, yes it has a pretty annoying ‘lil bitch’ sample, but I can’t stop listening to this track.Boom.
I’ve always been a bit 50/50 with El-P. I remember being blown away with the first Company Flow EP, but after that always liked his stuff on a first listen then get a bit tired of it very quickly. I find his music cool to drop into a conversation but not the first thing I grad when looking through my CD collection.
I’d not heard of him till yesterday if Im honest. This track reminds me of Anti-Pop Consortium. And thats all good for me. Its interersting you say about not turning to EL-P in your CD collection, Im just not turning to Hip Hop these days. Is it cause I is old and looking more like a potato than a man?
I think it’s a tough one. I’ve been really into my hip hop as of late. With that I took a serious 2 year break from it. There is lots out there at the moment, though I think you have to dig a bit for it.
http://pitchfork.com/reviews/tracks/13368-beez-in-the-trap-ft-2-chainz/Good God! This is very very good.
No one … ? No body has an opinion?
Sorry Joey, been stupidly busy. It IS good. It’s VERY good. Shit. Surely I’m too old for the Minaj. Do I need to engage?
