  1. Very interesting list. I would never have thought you would have liked Menace Beach. That’s such an eye opener for me.

I know it came across that I perhaps didn’t like New Dorp when we reviewed SBTLKNKBYKT but I think it deserves its place in a 2014 top 10 … I still don’t think it sits well on the album.

Glad to see Perfume Genius on there and Shamir too. Others I’ll have to check-a-check-it-out.

I feel totally out of the loop this year and would struggle to do a similar list. I think most that I’ve listened to this year is not from this year.

  2. Your middle name is really Hunter? I know it was pre-Gladiators but I so wish it wasn’t.

I have 2 middle names, Iain and Richard, I swapped the order as if you say Joseph and Iain quickly it sounds like Josephine. My mum and dad swear they didn’t know.

  3. It’s Hunter. Read it and weep. I’ve grown to kinda love it. In fact, I wished I’d gone with the full David Hunter Allison as an official writing name. Too late now though.

  4. Here’s mine, in no particular order….

    Pharoahe Monch – Bad M.F.
    Perfume Genius – Fool
Caribou – Can’t Do Without You
    Caribou – Our Love
Dixon & Guy Gerber- No Distance
Charlotte OC – Colour My Heart (PBR Streetgang Remix)
Richie Ahmed feat Kevin Knapp – The Drums
Nick Mulvey – Fever From The Form
Jungle – Son Of A Gun
    SBTRKT – The Light
